Thank you for your interest in volunteering to help the National Center for Reason and Justice. There are a variety of ways you might help.
1) We receive many desperate pleas for help and do not always have the resources to respond in a timely manner. Would you be willing to talk to someone who has contacted us and write a report for us? This contact may lead to repeated phone calls or correspondence.
2) We do not assume guilt or innocence based on submissions. Before we sponsor a case–that is, put our name and resources behind a person we believe is innocent–we must thoroughly vet the case by reading all the court documents and interviewing appropriate people involved in the case.
3) Become a pen-pal to a prisoner who has contacted the NCRJ.
5) Simply submit your name as someone who is willing to help out in some way, so that we have your name and contact information on file.
